We offer free workshop to help your members understand how to use and get the most out of the Toolkit.
Introduction to the Toolkit Workshop
This is our most frequently requested workshop which covers everything you need to know to get started using the Toolkit. We can deliver this either online via Zoom/Teams or in-person – for example at your party’s national conference, to a specific group of office-bearers or a at a local party meeting. Each workshop will be tailored depending on the size of your group and how much time you have. For groups of up to 25 we would suggest a timeframe of around 75-90 minutes. For larger groups or other audiences, please get in touch so we can design something that fits your needs.
What will it cover?
The Introduction session will cover:
- Why diverse representation and participation is important in politics
- The crucial role of parties in creating diverse representation
- An overview of the Equal Representation Toolkit website and resources
- How it can help your party boost engagement by become more inclusive and accessible, especially for groups who are currently underrepresented - for instance women, disabled people, ethnic minorities and LGBTI people.
- Using the Toolkit - a chance to try out the quizzes and consider how you might implement its recommendations in your practice.

Other ways to get support
As well as our group Introduction workshops, we can offer:
- Small group sessions or 1-2-1s. Arrange a meeting with us to learn about the Toolkit where we will equip you with the knowledge to get colleagues using it.
- Webinars for larger groups. For audiences of over 25, we would recommend booking a webinar rather than a workshop. It will cover much of the same content as outlined above, but streamlined for a larger audience.
- Thematic workshops. Interested in one chapter of the Toolkit, or one topic that it covers? Speak to us and we can tailor something to your needs.
